Soms wil je een simpel testje doen vanaf de command-prompt met het telnet commando. Dan krijg je al snel een melding
C:\Users\Bas>telnet smtp.routit.nl 25 'telnet' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
Om telnet te installeren zul je de command-prompt als admin moeten starten. Daarna volstaat het onderstaande commando om Telnet te installeren.
dism /online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:TelnetClient
